The Mactaggart Third Fund was established in 1968 by Deed of Trust granted by the Western Heritable Investment Company on behalf of the Mactaggart family. Its objectives are to distribute funds by way of donations to suitable charities in the United Kingdom and abroad. The Directors take a proactive approach to their grant-making and their present policy is to make grants to those charities whose aims they support and who they believe have demonstrated excellence in their achievements.
The Mactaggart Third Fund has made grants of over £8 million to a range of charitable organisations since inception. A list of recent donations is available in the accounts section of this site.
